I would like to thank everyone for participating in the chapter elections that was held on April 21st.

The chapter has a very dynamic and forward thinking officers and board members again this year. Each year the chapter becomes more and more stable and stronger because of its dedicated members and those it elects to lead it.

Immediately ahead of the chapter is Mother's Day and Memorial Day. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the mothers, especially those of all Veterans. When we left the protection of the nest and out from under their protective wings, they took on more worries than they let go off when we chose to serve this wonderful country of ours.

As many of them were in the background in one capacity or another, they faced the dreaded possibility as to what awaited their sons and daughters.

Let's not only remember them and celebrate them on Mother's Day, but also remember those mothers on Memorial Day, who lost their loved ones in defense of our freedom.

Finally, we have Memorial Day. Let us make this day, this year, to honor all those who have made the ultimate sacriface on our behalf and allows us to enjoy the freedoms we have today. It is the soldier who gave us the freedom of speech, religion, press, and the freedom to associate with whom ever we wish.

These are our Fundamental Rights under the First Amendment of the Consitution of the United States. Rights guaranteed and protected by those who have gone before us and those who have answered the call after us and in the future.

God Bless the United States, this country's brave protectors, and Chapter 472.
